Enghouse Announces Markham, ON, Canada, July 11, 2005 - The Asset Management Division of Enghouse Systems Limited (TSX:ESL) is pleased to announce the release of NetWORKS Enterprise Server 4.0. Enghouse has significantly expanded its successful line of NetWORKS desktop products with the introduction of NetWORKS Server. NetWORKS Server is the only product of its kind to support ArcGIS Server 9, ESRI's server-based GIS technology. NetWORKS Server is a unique solution offering centralized server-side applications which in the past were only available on NetWORKS desktop. By deploying common NetWORKS desktop functionality on ArcGIS Server, a wider range of WEB browser users can easily and efficiently analyze and manage vital OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) network assets stored in a centralized NetWORKS geodatabase. NetWORKS Server delivers enterprise GIS-centric network management applications that are centrally managed and support multiple users. NetWORKS Server features include map display / navigation, network tracing, reporting, facility locates, auto-generation of splice diagrams and delivers these tools throughout your organization. NetWORKS desktop (NetWORKS Editor and NetWORKS Analyzer) continues to provide workstation based editing and analysis to design and manage your network assets. With the introduction of NetWORKS Server, you can now let browser-based users access the same network asset database with advanced web based network management tools. As a centrally managed server application, NetWORKS Server reduces your deployment and on-going software management costs. Once new versions of NetWORKS Server software is installed on the server, all users immediately gain access to the new soft ware capabilities – eliminating the need for IT personnel to install software on individual workstations. "NetWORKS Server clearly illustrates the benefits of ArcGIS Server 9 within the telecommunications environment. The Enghouse solution makes enterprise GIS a reality for many telecom operators looking to leverage ArcGIS desktop and server products for documenting and managing OSP and ISP network assets", says Alex Miller, President of ESRI Canada. NetWORKS Sever enhances the value of ESRI's ArcGIS Server platform by addressing the Outside and Inside Plant network management needs of the communications industry. Enghouse continues to extend NetWORKS product portfolio ensuring its lead as the product of choice for Utility, Municipal, and Independent Telecoms.
