Markham, ON, March 2002 – Enghouse Systems Limited (TSE:ESL) announced the much anticipated release of CableCad™ 4.2. CableCad™ is a spatial information management toolkit that enables users to build powerful design and asset management applications for engineering, construction and operations departments of utilities.

CableCad™ seamlessly connects attribute and network connectivity information into intelligent, intuitive and manageable maps making the design and management of complex electric utility and telecommunication network information easy and efficient.

New features in CableCad™ 4.2 include:

  • An updated DXF translator compatible with AutoCAD 2000 and 2002 files

  • Enhanced UDC functions that allow main menu customizations by the user

  • Consolidated system prompts that now appear in a new re-sizeable window called the message center

  • UDC’s that are run from any location, including across UNC named network drives

  • Plus much, much more
