Enghouse Releases
NetWORKS 4.1 on ArcGIS 9.1

Markham, ON, Canada, November 2, 2005 - The Asset Management Division of Enghouse Systems Limited (TSX:ESL) is pleased to announce the release of NetWORKS 4.1. The NetWORKS product portfolio continues to meet the Outside Plant and Inside Plant network design and network management requirements of Utility Telecoms, Municipal Telecoms, Independent Telecoms, and Cable TV companies.

The NetWORKS 4.1 release includes new functionality, productivity tools, and performance improvements for the following modules: FiberWORKS, CopperWORKS, CoaxWORKS, ISP, and Structures Management. NetWORKS 4.1 is the first release that supports ESRI's ArcGIS 9.1.

A few of the key enhancements include:

  • New Reports - NetWORKS now provides you with two new reports, an additional Fiber Splice report and a new Fiber Trace report.
  • Custom Specification Table Filtering - NetWORKS now provides Administrators with the ability to assign query filters to feature subgroups that populate the Equipment tree. Now end users can select feature subgroups that represent a filtered range of feature subtypes, or enter their own SQL Where clauses to create custom queries on the fly.
  • User-definable snap rules - NetWORKS Administrators can now pre-set snapping properties for features. This is in addition to snapping properties already set through established connectivity rules.
  • Printing of Structure Trace Results - NetWORKS now allows you to print the contents of a selected tab from the Structures Tracing dialog box.

NetWORKS 4.1 based on ArcGIS 9.1 enables telecommunication companies to document and manage complex, multi-domain networks. NetWORKS can help maximize network resources, increase workflow, enhance customer service, and improve network reconfiguration. NetWORKS provides both Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) design, network management, and facilities management capabilities within an integrated ArcGIS 9.1 platform. It's open, interoperable and web deployable architecture can interface with existing enterprise applications such as Work Force Management, Customer Information Systems, Network Monitoring Systems, and others.

NetWORKS enhances the value of ESRI's ArcGIS platform by addressing the network design and asset management needs of the telecommunications industry. Accurately documenting infrastructure is a vital task. Enghouse continues to extend NetWORKS ensuring its lead as the product of choice for Utility, Municipal, and Independent Telecoms.
