CableCad™ Version 4.0 Offers Real Windows Menu Interface

Markham, Ontario, Canada – Enghouse Systems Limited (August 25, 2000) [TSE: ESL] announces a significant value-added upgrade to CableCad™, with the release of Version 4.0. CableCad™ is a high performance departmental GIS (Geographic Information Systems) developer tool kit for telecommunications, cable television, electric power and utility companies.

CableCad™ is an Automated Mapping/Facilities Management (AM/FM) software solution, which enables users to leverage powerful design and management capabilities within their own Operational Support Systems (OSS). CableCad™ also provides the ability to seamlessly connect graphic, attribute, and connectivity databases, in order to easily design and manage network assets. 

Custom, company-specific applications can now be easily built on top of the CableCad™ software platform. In addition, pre-designed Enghouse industry specific applications can be incorporated. The enhancements provide affordable, efficient GIS solutions for the Telecommunication and Utility industries. 

New features of CableCad™ Version 4.0 are full Windows NT compatibility, real Windows menu interface and Windows-compatible plotting and printing functions. Further, CableCad™ can now share data with any database supporting MS Advanced Data Objects. CableCad™ V4.1 will be released in late December 2000, thereby continuing Enghouse's commitment to all CableCad™ users.
